Want to Learn Mindful Eating?

Mindful eating is about maintaining your preferred weight. But first, why talk about eating mindfully anyway? "Good Question!"

In the modern world we eat for convenience rather than for the benefits of nutrition. We eat for instant gratification rather than thinking about your long-term health benefits. Can you imagine learning a new way to eat and actually slow down so you can experience the tastes, textures, and pleasant aromas of your food, rather than wolfing it down in a hurry or snacking on the go? You can learn to slow down and eat mindfully. I can help you to see the food you eat as essential medicine that not only nourishes your whole system, but also tastes delicious!
So what is mindful eating?

Mindful eating means taking time to honor your food and your body by choosing high quality select foods, preparing it with care and eating slowly using your five senses, and really enjoy it. It means allocating quiet time to prepare and enjoy eating your meal without rushing or multitasking at the same time. Mindful eating is a way of saying to yourself, "I respect my body enough to be mindful of what I put into it and of the way I eat." Think of it as a form of meditation. It means choosing to be present with your food and the way you eat it. You can either spend valuable money on select high quality foods at the grocery store or spend your money paying for doctor visits.

Enjoy eating on purpose, it's not by accident.

My clients have proven that eating mindfully helps to:

  • Sense intuitively when they've eaten enough without overeating
  • Gain way more satisfaction from eating
  • Develop a healthy relationship with food
  • View food a necessity
  • Discover pleasant new tastes and textures
  • Improve digestion (less gas and bloating)
  • Regulate bowel movement
  • Discover food sensitivities
  • Create healthy habits that energize them
  • Lose that stubborn weight, for GOOD!
